So here we are, sitting in the eating area/kitchen. Patrick and Shannon have made pancakes (banana, strawberry, chocolate, strawberry and banana, chocolate-covered banana, chocolate-covered strawberry), and my mom made poached eggs for some. We were a little slow out of the gates this morning- we had our epic campfire adventure last night! Lucas, my mom, and Patrick slaved tirelessly to start the fire out of wet kindling, but they did... well, they COULD after Mr. Boyd (Captain) came and straightened us out a little bit- no newspaper required. So we made some s'mores and told some ghost stories, and that was basically the end of things. We headed off to bed after some star-gazing (yep, there's an app for that), and now here we are. Today, we venture out for some more deck building with Ms. Myrtle, last name unknown(!), and we only have the highest hopes. The scurrying begins! We're already late! Time to go!
