Wake up time: 7:30
After eating cereal for breakfast and making coffee, we were merrily on our way to lend a helping hand to the Hills. Thankfully, we clicked with Mrs. Hill and her dog, Peanut, instantly, however we did not get to meet her son because he was not there. Our two jobs were painting ceilings and destroying/building a deck. We were lucky enough to be on the deck crew and we got straight to work. Bugs aside, we ripped out the deck with the assistance of Mr.boyd and our own handy manny, patrick. Then we set out to dig holes to place the foundation of the deck. I (joanna) used a power saw, which was epic. I actually cut off all my fingers. Typing this with my nose! Just kidding :) We got about 3/4ths of the way done. Great timing on our part! The ceiling crew got extremely far as well! We are having a blast if anyone is wondering. About half way through building the deck, a monstrous thunderstorm came through and limited the work being done; however, we still did well. On the ride home, a wonderful Sound of Music singalong went on. Yes, we do have a video of MJ and Mrs. P harmonizing. To cap off a hardworking day, we made a good home made Italian meal with Garlic bread, pasta and salad. And now were just hanging out waiting for the rest of the storm to pass.
.... lucas here whadup bloggers just had pasta and some killer garlic bread with the boys. those fiber bars are deadly. We're staying in tonight had some severe thunderstorm warnings here in VA so looks like apples to apples.

For that matter I had no idea any of you could write so beautifully and describe your experiences so wonderfully, bringing it all home to us what a great adventure it is to be on a mission together and serve others in His Name.
